Hi

I think that has changed in the last year or so. Now I think it
costs 10c to receive too.

It is 10 cents each way, just for text. Pics and video are 25 cents
each.
Depending on how much you text, a package plan may be worth looking
into. Those text messages can add up pretty fast and really kick up
your montly bill. Cool thing about the package too is that when you
text someone who also has Verizon, it's included in your plan. If you
know alot of people with Verizon, one of their packages is definitely
the way to go. Also with Pix and Vidz, even with Verizon to Verizon,
you use one minute of airtime when you send or receive this kind of
data.

Hmm...lessee...156 bytes = 10c, that's 1560 bytes for $1 or $.641/KB or
$641/MB or $641,000/GB. Did I do that right, just to put it into proper
perspective?

Wow! Even Ma Bell ain't makin' that kinda profit! AT this rate, I
downloaded $10,768,800 from alt.binaries.movies.divx through cable
internet, JUST TODAY!

Poor bastard cellphone companies, I don't see how they stay in business
givin' data away like this!

I bet they wish we'd all text message each other. We'd sure use lots less
bandwidth, and you can see what it would do for profits on a 5000 word
phone call!

Adjust the arithmetic if they let you text more than 156 characters on each
text message on your system....

Wonder what 1GB of bandwidth costs them??
