All over the web people are selling the Motorola H700 for around $60.
The Verizon store has it for $99.95 but it has a different UPC number.
There is talk of three revisions of this headset on the web, but nothing
concrete; the talk I've seen suggests the Verizon unit is rev. c,
presumably the latest. Do you suppose the different UPN etc. suggests
a newer unit?

In case you want to play, the Verizon numbers are 723755666047 (UPC),
06318N and SYN1618C; the numbers I have for the version available for
cheap are 89013J and 723755986862.

That's interesting. Are these different versions of the same headset?

That's what I was wondering myself. Not worth paying $100 if I can get
the same thing for $60; but might possibly be worth it if there's
anything special about the presumably different version.

If there is any difference in the Verizon version it's more likely to
benefit Verizon, not you.

Wonder if they figured out a way to hobble it so a VZW-hobbled phone will
only talk to a VZW-hobbled headset THEY sell? How awful....
