hi All,
I am sitting in office cubicle in California,
No matter what I do I am not able to make a call to New jersey,
What ,
I dial , 9 and then 011, and then the whole number in New Jersey
908 ... ....
It says it cannot complete the call,
What is the way to call some one in US sitting in US,

I have always made calls from other countries to US
But never from here.

Dial 9 if you need to for an outside line, then 1908....... It might
also work without the `1' in front. 011 is for international
calls, it expects a country code next.

IMHO IIRC

Do not dial the country code.

1 Areacode PhoneNumber, for example 1 908 555-1212

011 is for international calls *only.*

9 to get outside line, then:
1-908-xxx-xxxx

011 isn't the USA's country number, 1 is!
I don't see country code 011 on any of my lists...

Is this YOUR office? Unless they forbid it, put Skype on your
office computer with a nice headset and save the company
thousands in LD ripoffs. If you get the company to pay for it,
you can also use the same Skype name at home or mobile on a
laptop or Skype device. Unlimited calls to USA/Canada including
AK, HI, PR with no time limit is $30/year...making the boss very
happy, indeed! Call New Jersey from your cubicle's desktop Skype
and it's MORE SECURE than either a Sellphone or the office
Centrex, both of which are easily tapped by the government
bureaucrats. Skype uses 128-bit encryption for all
calls...SECURE. That may help convince the company to get
everyone Skype to bypass the phone company ripoff.

Try it for free. If New Jersey gets Skype, you can connect
Skype-to-Skype anywhere on the planet for FREE! You can also
send/receive files, text message, use full motion color video
from a webcam in full duplex, have company-wide conference calls
for FREE! NOONE beats its price...(c;

I use it in mine...works great. You can have 9 separate incoming
numbers almost anywhere in US/Canada and lots of other countries.
I have a London, UK phone number on my Skype in America.

011 isn't a country code. It is how you dial a '+' on a landline
phone (or a CDMA phone, for that matter).
