How do I get the VX8300 installed on the USB port?

| I've got drivers and it sort of acts like it sees the phone. I had to
jump through a lot of XP hardware hoops to get to this stage. Still, the
when I try to get data from the phone, I get a COM failure from the
software. Is there a right driver? Is there a trick, an incantation?
Thanks.

Get Bitpim at http://www.bitpim.org/ Read the FAQs and other help
first, so you can figure out how to do what you want to using BitPim.
Install BitPim on the computer you will use to connect tot he phone.
With the phone on, connect the USB cable to the phone, then to the
computer USB port. Open BitPim, and use it to find the phone. You'll
have to use BitPim to access the phones files system and BREW files.
BitPim is open source freeware. You can also use google to find the
driver file, unless you are sure your have the 8300 driver.
