Verizon LGVX8600 Activation Problems

| My new phone arrived today and I went through the steps to activate
it, including deactivating my old phone. However, when I dial *228
and try to activate the new phone, I somehow patch into the Alltel
network, who of course can't activate my phone. When I try to
reactivate my old phone, I get the Verizon network, but it won't
reactivate because it's not my new phone. The customer service guy
who helped me "activate" my new phone was going to call me back once I
had it up and running, but that will never happen now. Any advice?

| I had a problem activating my vx8600 online when I recieved it in the
mail. I got frustated and took the phone to a Verizon Store to
activate it. They even transfered my phonebook free. Hope this helps.

| If this is your first VCast phone, you cannot activate it without the CSR
changing some setting on your account. After the first time, no problem in
the future.
