Has anyone tried to get the 700W to work (sync) with Vista and Outlook
2007?

Thanks,

I haven't tried it but I'd suggest you consider removing Office 2007
(not an easy task!) and install Office 2003.

If you can sync, then you'll know the problem was Outlook 2007, if it
still fails you'll know the problem was either Vista or the 700w

PS, you might specify which Vista? I run Vista 64 bit and it's
considerably different from Vista 32 bit.

I have not tried it yet. I currently own a Treo 650 with the Palm OS and
am concidering a switch to the 700W. I just wanted to know if it would
work with office 07 and Vista..Business, 32 bit. My company forced me to
switch to these two beasts since we have customers that we have to
support that use them.

Good luck! Vista is a better OS than XP and Office 2007 is much
improved over previous versions but....!!

There is a VERY steep learning curve, both are different and those w/o
the time to invest in learning will be unhappy.

Hardware and software manufacturers are making Vista compatible things
very slowly, it could take a very long time to get everything working.

Personally, I'd dual boot myself. It's tax time and I'm not about to
find out if TurboTax will run on Vista 64 bit, I continue to use XP for
a heck of a lot of stuff!

Well, I do better than dual boot. I have a 4 channel KVM switch and 3
systems. XP, Vista, Server 2003 so I can really quick jump from one to
the other. I just have to use Vista now for all of my work when
possable.
Anywaze, guess I will stick with my Treo 650 until the 700W is
compatable.
Thanks for the input..

I have not synced a 700w but I have synced a Q with no problems. You
will not be able to use ActiveSync with Vista though, they have a new
program called Windows Mobile Device Center. Once you install that it
syncs up with no problems.

I have used a 700w with office 2007 on XP and it works fine. Haven't used
nor will use Vista for a LONG time to come. At the very least until my
Creative X-fi soundcard is FULLY compatible with it. So if you have
problems it is probably either Vista or the new Active Sync replacement.
