The phone I got (LG-VX4700) does not allow you to have the
speakerphone off for using the phone and on for PTT. So if you turn
off the speakerphone to have a private phone conversation and do not
manually turn it back on you will not hear when someone is trying to
PTT unless they alert you ! So it is very hard to use as both a phone
and a radio. The result is that it makes YOU look stupid for not
remembering to turn the speakerphone on and off 200 times a day when
your co-workers are trying to reach you. When you combine this simple
design flaw with the five to ten second delay on first contact the PTT
serves no funtion whatsoever.
