| The following is in an e-mail notice I received from Verizon. Is this
something new?
"Also, as a My
Account customer, you are entitled to exclusive benefits."
"As a current registered user of "My Account"..."
"You can get a new phone every year with Annual Upgrade.
Sign up for a 2-year agreement on a calling plan of at least $49.99 and
you can purchase a new phone at its promotional price through My Account
every year with a 2-year renewal (upgrade fee may apply)."

| I don't know how new it really is, but it's been this way for at least 6
months or so, probably longer. It is the same in the corporate stores, with
or without a "My account" account.
