No kidding.
Also... personally, I want a phone (and contact manager like a Treo), not a
tune player. AFAIC, the iPOD and competitors are only appealing to the music
crowd, most of whom carry a $39.99 minimum minutes voice plan and use their
phones for music, not taking. Hell, I carry a 2100 minute voice plan and I
spend enough time talking that I don't have time to listen to music. :)
Anyway, recreation verses business, I guess. But I have no use for an iPOD
(or iPOD phone), or music, during my normal workday.

Here's the killer: offer a good compact phone with good reception, voice
quality and battery life at a good price along with a competitive rate plan.
Stuff your cameras, music players, text messages, web browsing and
navigator....

useless, you're right:
"Verizon Wireless' counter is the LG Prada, or KE850, according to
TheStreet.com. Prada is a sleek handset similar in look to the iPhone,
the Web site reports. It includes a camera, and can play music and
videos and allow for document viewing."
killer, huh?

Can you actually make phone calls with it?

| For me, I agree. However, I have friends that make a point of doing a
websearch on their PDA at the dinner table. It can be things like -what
time is that movie tomorrow?

For me, that's what the Moto KRZR is. Stylish, solid build quality, good
fit in my hand, good voice quality and great battery life. My fave phone
yet. Now if only they'd ditch the Verizon UI...

The music player and web browsing I can do without. Text messaging is
almost a must these days, and I'm guilty of having used the camera here and
there...
