Do your own research based on what you want the phones to do for you and
your family...number of phones you need, kids use, etc. Nail down your
needs first then find the phone that they offer that meets those needs.

No one else knows your family needs.

He listed his needs. He needs good quality phones. No more, no less.
That's all the features.

I.e. Something that works well for you know, making and receiving phone
calls.

Look at LG 8300. If you find you need analog in upstate NY, and you
might, look at Moto V325i.

Both are excellent phones for what you want.

When I signed up from the website, I judged the best phone to be the FREE
phone. Their offers change from time to time, so good luck.

FYI, my FREE phone included a camera and text messaging, but I don't use
them....

Right now, the best are the VX8600 and the Motorola V325i. Upstate NY, you
will probably want analog capability, which would call for the V325i. Both
have excellent reception for areas that do not have great signals.

One phone criteria for me is that it lives happily in my pocket. I
put up with a Moto RAZR because when I got it, it was the best at
that. I think this thread would be useful if others added specific
issues, like pocket friendliness, that the poster should consider.
