So, what's the best non-flip phone Verizon offers these days?
Is analogue really needed these days?

"Best" depends on what features are important to you. The phone that does
those most effectively is your best phone-- which probably is different from
my needs/best phone.
Analog? Not needed in major population centers and on the interstate. In the
boonies? Only needed if you want to make/receive a call-- otherwise not
important.

The most important features in a phone would be to be able to make and
receive calls reliably.
