No, it is just all the kiddies whose lives are defined by what they have.

Everyones life is defined by what they have and don't have for that
matter.
You obviously have a computer and a phone or you wouldn't be here, would
you?

I certainly hope nobody other than you believes that. Your life is
defined by your actions not your possessions, by what you are not what
you have.

Completely true and completely irrelevant.

Those iPhone threads are cross-posted to Hell and back. Some of the
posters (mitch, Oxford, Alan Baker, none) are well-known nutcase Apple
fanboys from comp.sys.mac.advocacy.

Sad if you believe that. Your life is defined by what you know (which
includes the talents and skills you have) and how you act.

Of course not. But they are just inanimate objects that anyone else can
have and they don't define me.

You assumed i was referring to material things only... though material
things or the lack thereof, how one might be influenced by them, chooses
to make use of them as well as ones desire and ability to attain or
inability to do so, serves to define a person to some degree as well.

Oh, but it's ok for you to define anyone who has expressed interest in
the iPhone as "kiddies"?

Of course not, that would be "idiots".
