| So, what's a good non-flip phone that had analogue capability and good
reception for making and reciving calls?
You know, something that works as intended as a phone.
No other features are necessary.

Very few available, I've though of re-activating one of my older phones
since I want about the same thing as you...
You can check Verizon's website or look on ebay for an older one that
can be activated.

I have "recycled" my old Nokia 6015i to my wife, and she is happy with
it (older 3589i getting kind of beat up ;-). Tri-mode, basic "candy bar"
phone, but still a few nice features like speakerphone, and big,
easily-read color screen, and it has a standard 2.5mm headphone jack
(don't need to use that funky pop-port on the bottom). No camera, no
music, no BlueTooth ... shucks ;-}
Check ebay (for a reputable seller of course).
