Infoworld magazine columnist Ed Foster writes about Verizon disabling
features of the phone that were put in there by the manufacture.

Post comments on that site for discussion.
This comes up because Verizon is a likely bidder at a FCC spectrum
auction. I for one have no interest in corporate outlaws like Verizon
gaining exclusive use of public radio spectrum. Or at least more
spectrum.
