Upgrade phone without changing messaging plan
|

| is it possible to upgrade a phone without changing any messaging
features?
Online it is forcing me to select a message plan, however that line
already has a grandfathered message plan, $2.99 for 100 messages I
believe.
Anyone have any experience with this?

If you buy a subsidized phone from VZW, they'll need to lock you in for a
year or two to recoup the money they fronted for your new phone. Get
yourself a new phone from someplace else (eBay, online retailers,
craigslist, etc.) and you can just keep the plan you have with the features
you like....

If you really believe carbon dioxide causes global warming,
you should stop exhaling.

To what kind of a new phone? Be specific. Give a manufacturer name and a
model identifier. The answer can be different for different phones.

Not sure, the online upgrade system offers the same options of forcing
to choose a messaging plan, yet none of those offered are the one I am
currently using.
My VX6100 is long in the tooth, and a short on power.

| You always have the option to buy an un subsidized phone from VZW
