Hi,

I want to purchase a used Chocloate by Verizon.

Verizon told me the DNS is locked because it was once reported lost. And
therefore it cannot be activated.

Is this phone really unusable, forever? I can get it for onlry $25.oo.

Do you mean ESN? If the ESN is locked, you MIGHT be able to activate
it on Sprint. Not 100% sure though.

$25 for a paperweight. Your decision.

Thanks,

Perhaps it is ESN and not DSN as I heard. Can anyone shed some light on wha
to do witha Verizon Venus Cell Phne (1-day old) that was locked from
activiation by Verizon?

I'e like to have my niecie use it or sell it to someone else but I need to
know if it can be activated by Verizon, another provider or a hacker.

Just maybe you should source cellphones via other methods, rather than
stolen goods and insurance fraud?

That's right. You are extraordinarily perceptive. In fact, this phone was
stolen from the burning body of an 11 year old child. Apparently, it was
necessary to actually amputate the child's fingers to release the death grip
on this item. Great phone though.

Just a recommendation. If you plan on buying stolen cell phones, buy GSM not
CDMA

Then it should have already been "activated"...

Nobody is fooled by your evasive sarcasm. Without putting words in Todd's
mouth, I surmise that he had simply noticed that you were ignoring the most
obvious way to try to get the phone reactivated: ask Verizon to tell the owner
that the phone has been found and that you might be willing to make an offer
for it.

why must those such as yourself be so, so shallow; making much ado about
nothing?

If you don't know, it would be pointless to try to explain.
