Eventually I may replace my VX8300 via NE2 or eBay but the Verizon
phones I see at the Verizon kiosks are plastic and seem tacky.
Expensive but tacky. Are there any phones left with metal housings?

My Verizon/Motorola RAZR V3m appears to have a metalic shell, possibly
aluminum. It ain't cheap but I've found it satisfactory so far. I've
had it since December.

I wouldn't suggest getting a phone from Verizon though, they tend to
cripple them in ways that they hope will maximize their profits.
