Just another dissatisfied Nextel customer. I had many problems with
the cellular service as well as their customer service department.

They even billed me an extra month, even though my phone was not
enabled. I cancelled my service on June 1st, and they continued to
bill me through the end of my billing cycle (June 22nd), even though
the phone was ported to another carrier during this time.

I had specifically asked the customer rep (when cancelling) if I would
continue to be billed and they told me no, today is the last day I
would be charged. Then I started receiving collection agency warnings.

I paid them to avoid the negative effect of collection agency
reporting. Why is it that it seems consumers have little right when it
comes to what is reported for collection? They charge you whatever
they want, then use the collection agency as a threat.

You have the right to dispute ANYTHING on your credit report. When Sprint
tried to frighten me with this I told them to go right ahead because then I
can dispute it in the court of law. They changed their tune after they heard
that. Dispute the negative comments from Nextel, it's your right.
