I have an i95c and I just followed your rules in clearing the sim do you
now any activation codes so that I can reactivate the phone for use?

I think he means Over The Air'd, but I've never heard it put that way and
have not seen OTA before.

Clearing the SIM will erase the contacts from the SIM, but will not make it
active. You will need to contact Nextel to activate the unit.
