Have you tried powering it off, then on again? After that, I'd try removing
the battery, wait a few seconds, then replace it again and let it power up.
If neither of those work, it might be time to call Nextel for help.

| I feel bad for you if you need any service on this phone. I have an i830
sitting doing nothing because Nextel/Sprint service will not repair this
phone since they do not sell it anymore. At least that is what they told me
at my local service center. They told me I could throw it away or buy a new
phone. Good Luck.

| It happened to my i830 also, I just sold it on Ebay as is and got $60 for
it. You can try a software upgrade or maybe a phone recovery with RSS
Carrier. Other than that just get a new phone, the i830 is outdated

| Most likely your local service center is an indirect agent. They make their
money on selling the latest phones with new activations, not repairing older
equipment. Go to a Sprint Nextel owned or legacy Nextel owned service
center. They will repair everything from Lingo's to i930's. You can get
the locations from the website.
If the phone is not repairable or if it would cost more to repair than
replace, they will tell you.
