I took a look at the Cingular, Sprint and VZW coverage maps.
Looks like your company would be better off going with Cingular
or VZW for ALL employees. Where Sprint shows roaming, Cingular
and VZW show Full coverage

I understand that your employer wants to standardize.
It may be a matter of cost to them, but I see it as costing more in the long
run.
Only down fall I see in using VZW and Cingular is the fact that you would
not be able to roam on the other carrier if needed. Cingular being GSM
and VZW being CDMA.

I'd try and stall and show your employer the coverage maps.
True they MAY NOT be 100% accurate, but they'll give them
an idea of what they may be facing if and when they do decide to do this
