FON & SJ / Free WiFi - Cellphone Calls for Everyone!
|

| As you may remember we recently had a discussion on just how quickly the
cellphone industry has become obsolete with the advent of the iPhone.
Then people that have a vested interest in the collapsing cell empire
mistakenly disagreed, but most intelligent people laughed at them. It
was funny to watch then fumble if you remember... anyway...
Then a curious Video Blog was posted several days ago by a Martin
Varsavsky of FON. He had just came back from a meeting with Steve.
Oddly enough this is exactly what I explained was going to happen. Apple
and companies like FON / Google are going to circumvent all Cell
Companies within 24-36 months through NORMAL, FREE WiFi, not old
fashioned "for pay" Cell transmissions.
FON has a wonderful business model, but to get the context, read over
the below article and watch the video contained within... do not go
forward until you have viewed the video:
http://counternotions.com/2007/10/26/sj-meeting-video/
So who is FON? and why is this important?
In sum, it's a way for you to broadcast your own internet connection,
and make money if you want, and then receive back free WiFi, free phone
calls back wherever you go. It's the perfect model to get rid of Cell
Companies!
http://www.fon.com/en/info/whatsFon
Where is FON WiFi in your area? Check the Map.
http://maps.fon.com/
Look over the partners... there is no way the Cell Industry can compete
at this level...
http://www.fon.com/en/info/ ourInve.../ShopController
Now add all this up... and let's say both Apple and Google release their
own broadcasting device based ON and WITH FON, include their own Skype
like client to the iPhone/gPhone and you have the end of those pesky,
cost inefficient Cell Companies forever!
Rumors are strong that Apple and Google together are going to purchase
part of the wireless spectrum. (skip the ad at this link) So everything
is fitting together to rid the world of Cell Phone Companies!
http://snipurl.com/1sv7a
So WiFi is poised to take over the Cell Industry... Just like I thought!

COOL!

For more advanced readers, take a look at GrandCentral... a company
Google just bought. Another piece of the puzzle that spells the end of
Cell Companies...

| Tell us that you (and "Steve") have taken a potentially lucrative short
position in all these soon-to-be failing firms.

Oddly enough, you've ALREADY claimed that Wifi is everywhere right now,
no need for cellular connections for data or anything else.
So which is it: is Wifi everywhere now, or is it GOING to be everywhere?

And my high speed internet provider will not allow participation in the FON
WiFi access resale program.

| No, moron it was the exact opposite....
First, there was no "discussion".
You proclaimed some total, basically wacked nonsense,
and were universally laughed at by the "intelligent".
ANYONE with a fraction of a brain dismisses
99.9% of what you say as fanatical fanboy fiction.
THOSE are the facts.

No thanks, not interested in opening up MY cable connection to any and
all. Cell phones have nothing to fear from this nonsense.
