| I have been searching the web trying to find a replacement battery door
cover for my Sanyo SCP8400. Was hoping by chance someone here might know of
a source. I tried teh Sanyo site and Google lookup. Can't think of anything
else. I can get a new phone by mailing it back but really don't want to be
without it just for a battery cover. Worth it to me as I use mine for work.
Thanks.

I suppose you could buy one, swap covers, and return it. This
is not strictly ethical, but when you factor in that the company has
not given you any reasonable options (unless you just haven't asked
for them), the guilt is ameliorated by far, by your status as a loyal
customer who isn't being well-served.

| I don't think I will do that. I just got an extended battery with a cover. I
wanted an extended battery anyway. WIll look around for a cover anyway as I
have 3 phones and won't hurt to have open for a backup. I bought these
online from Let's Talk and they are a most disagreeable bunch to deal with.
I saved money by buying from them but the hassle is something else. Had
missing stuff in the shipment but nothing I cared about. If I have to pay
for a battery cover I am still ahead of the game as far as money goes. But I
would never again buy from them. I have a Sprint repair center not too far
from me I will stop over and see if I can order one. Thanks.

You may want to check with Sprint store see if they have any spared =
laying
around. I am just guessing cuz I believe they have lot of return, =
broken,
and people donated their older phones.

| Have you tried calling Sanyo? It seems like that would be a logical place to
look.

Another thought is to look on Ebay for one being advertised as partially
broken, missing battery etc etc
If the price is low enough.. go for it...
You really don't care if it 'activates'.. in this case, and you have it for
more spare parts harvesting or put it back up on eBay, minus what you
harvested..
Also there are multiple "Dummy display phone SCP-8400' models on ebay..
would that have the exact battery door? They are going cheap!
