Looking for answers about ringtones for a Sanyo SCP-2400 on Sprint

| I've got a Sanyo SCP-2400 on Sprint. I successfully download my
Contacts, edit the list and re-upload it with BitPim as often as I need
to across a Susteen data cable.
I would like to locate and upload a new ringtone into the phone. I have
not done that before, so I tried to download the existing ringtones to
see what format they were. (Assuming that I would have to convert any
new ringtones to that format...)
All of the tones downloaded in one proprietary file that none of my
computer's media players will read as a sound file of any sort---so I'm
stuck.
1) I am looking for "office telephone" ringtones. Not music or choruses
or anything from Star Trek---just professional-type ringers like the
phones that are found in business offices.
2) What format does the SCP-2400 require? I have a media converter, I
just need to know the correct format to convert them into.
3) Has anyone used BitPim to upload ringtones into an SCP-2400 before?
Is it as easy as uploading the Contacts list? Anything "special" that I
need to know before getting started?
Thanks for your help!

I thought all Sanyo phones used QCP format. There is a way to create these
freeware-ish, but it's a huge kludge. I gave up and went with Xingtone
Ringtone maker, since it'll handle QCPs. (and it was the only maker I could
find that would)
