| -I Bought a Nokia 6800 to go phone/plan in April 05,
-Immediately had to move to India in 15 Days,
-Brought the phone with me to India
Question:
-Will TMobile give me the unlock code over the phone if I call them
from here?
Any other ideas?

| If you have a T-Mobile account, you should be able to get the unlock code.
It might take a couple of days. You might be able to have them e-mail you
the code if that is an easier option. I'm not sure what their policy is if
you are a new customer.

| T-Mobile's policy for releasing unlock codes includes a clause that you
have to have been a customer for 90 days. Since it is well past that
timeframe, you should be in the clear.

I don't know if it makes any difference to the original poster, but
the 6800 (if purchased for use in North America) will only work on
North American GSM at 850 or 1900 Mhz.

Keep in mind that the Nokia 6800 sold in North America will not work
outside North America at all. It only operates on GSM 850 and 1900.
There is a Nokia 6800 sold in Europe, but it only works on GSM 900 and
GSM 1800.
