V330 & Edge Questions

| Does T-Mobile disable GSM 850 on this phone?
Can SMS be sent and retrieved via bluetooth on a V330? This has been a
problem with Motorola in the past.
Someone put up a post that there is a problem with Edge and unlocked
phones. What exactly is the problem if I were to get an unbranded SE
S710A? I assume the T-Mobile WAP stack might not work? Anything else?
By the way, my Cingular unlocked SE 616 now can display T-Zones (Now
called T-Mobile Web). T-Mobile must have finally programmed in the SE
616 for the 2.0 level browser. It used to be that any WAP site but
T-Zones worked. Also, I can get to the Edit T-Zones settings from My
T-Mobile, which was gone for months. They're getting better (maybe).

| Not sure I understand al your questions, but the issue with an
unlocked phone is that only the T-Mo branded phones have the
T-Zones/GPRS software built in. It can be sent to the phone by T-Mo,
you would need to contact them.
I don't understand the SMS question at all.

| Sony Ericsson phones can also be configured from Sony Ericsson's
(support, phone set-up) web site for T-Mobile. Also, my SE T616 was
never supported by T-Mobile, but happens to be on the T-Mobile
configurator list, but the SE S710A is not.
I assume the situation with an unlocked Edge phone is no different from
an unlocked GPRS phone?
SMS can be retrieved and sent via bluetooth and a remote device with a
Sony Ericsson phone. For instance Palm devices came with an SMS
program. You can enter your SMS via the app, and send it to the SE
phone attached via bluetooth. In the past this never worked with
Motorola.
