Periodic VOICEmail alerts?

| Hi all,
Just got the Samsung x495 handset, and am curious: is there ANY way to set a
periodic alert for when I have a voicemail message waiting??!??? There is
for Text and Picture, but not Voicemail. How can this be??? I never
text/send pictures - if I wanted to do more with my cellphone I would have
gotten a fancier phone.
Boo to T-Mobile if this option was taken away from it's customers. :P

They are in the process of going to a new voicemail system. This might fix
this for you.
Instead of a text message, it will give you a icon on your phone. It will
alert you of a new message and the icon will stay there until you call in
and do something with the message.
