Correct... I bought the software on EBay and the cable is a standand USB

cameras use the same USB connector)

I'm thinking of buying my software from ebay too. How much did you end
up paying? I've read alot of people have problems with that Mobile
phone tools 3.0, have you? I only plan on managing my phone contacts
and making ringtones. Should I have a problem?

BruceR

It works pretty well. I've not had the problems others have reported.

One tip: DO NOT PLUG YOUR PHONE INTO THE PC until you've installed the
program and it asks you to.

A year of spotty coverage and substandard customer service.

BruceR

That's one man's opinion. Here's another: Excellent coverage in areas
served with roaming elsewhere. Customer Service is FAR better than what
I've experienced with Verizon, Cingular and Sprint (the worst).

And the best rates available, including 29 cents per minute roaming in
Europe for those of us who have been grandfathered in on the old
international rates.

I agree. TMO's customer service is better then VZW's & Cingular.

What is the Razr case made of? How's the construction, good or just
ok. How well does the speakerphone work?
BruceR

Speakerphone is surprisingly good and can be made very loud with gain
table edits. The phone is all metal - even the keypad - with no flimsy
plastic. Build quality is excellent, like a fine swiss watch.

My contract comes up in a couple months, maybe I can get a deal on this
phone. I have the Samsung which is a ok phone, but I'd like something a
cut better with speakerphone. I'm pretty happy with T-Mobile as a
carrier and their customer service. Thanks for your comments.

Not one man's opinion, one man's experience. T-Mobile is terrible, but
relative to the other alternatives in the Chicago area (with the
exception of maybe US Cellular, which has arguably the best network in
the Chicago metro area), taking into account price, T-Mobile is the
best which really isn't saying much. Roaming coverage doesn't impress
me when coverage isn't decent in my home market anyway.

I'd agree with you to a point about customer service. I worked for
Customer Service with Cingular in Chicago/Schaumburg (I never have and
never will have Cingular service), and I recognize when Im being
bullshitted by T-Mobile CS, almost the exact same worthless scripted
responses.

If you enjoy your T-Mobile service, then that is enough. No reason to
defend it in a newsgroup.

Cheers!

Not defending it - just offering a counterpoint which is what I thought
NG discussions were all about.

No defending allowed...only complaining? Well that seems like it
would be a tad tedious after a while huh?

Why not? If you have great service, no further discussion is needed. If
you have complaints, maybe you can find someone else in the same boat
and get ideas for solutions.
