T-Mobile Chicago Area Service Issues

| HI, it's me again. Anyone else in the Chicago area having problems with
their service? For the past several nights around 7PM to 10PM (and
other times for all I know), callers dialling my number get the
pre-recorded message "The subscriber you have reached is not
available...". I have tried calling my own number from another phone
several times in a row and get the message about 1/3 of the time.
Coincidently, during these times, I have problems using #646#, #225#
and #674# ("Not available") and also problems connecting to
T-Zones/T-MobileWeb via the phone's browser and no success using the
phone as a wireless modem. I have the $19.99 add-on and connection
attempts tell me I am not subscribed to GPRS service. Furthermore, when
I query my call forwarding status, I get the response that all
forwarding is off and any attempts to forward my number either
conditional or unconditional gets a "Not successful" message. Then, as
sudden as these problems appear, they go back to normal.
I am using an unbranded/unlocked V620 but have had the same problems
with a Nokia 3565 (?, it's the brown phone with wacky keypad), Samsung
D415 and Motorola V3, all T-Mobile phones. Customer Service tells me
there are no reported problems in the Chicago area and I am on hold
with Tech Support.
Bear in mind, I have adequate signal at all times. Also instances of
skipped calls (going right to my voicemail when the phone is on and in
coverage area) has gone up dramatically. I will be sitting around and
my phone's voicemail indicator just starts going off with messages left
by friends and associates trying to get a hold of me. I power down my
phone at least once a day and am at a loss at this apparent degradation
of network quality by T-Mobile.
Anyone else?

| Tech Support claims a tower has been down near my town since Oct. 27.
Resolution "pending". Go figure.
