| Most mediuam to high end alrams use a Cellular backup anyway. Just use
cellular as a Primary. You can actually do it cheaper yourself with a
Prepaid SIM for a year (TMOBILE $100 gets 12 months 100 Minutes) and then
get a NOKIA 5100 6100 series and the Older CellSocket Interface abvailable
on EBAY for about $25. OIr the newer models with much more features. The
thing with this arrangement is that you will of course need a dedicated line
for the alrm. If your Primary phone has to be in the dock, well your home
and who needs the alarm. Point is with a bit of research and your brain, it
can be done cheaply and quite effectively.

BTW, I got rid of a landline ages ago. Like anther poster said, NEVER LOOKED
BACK.

| The problem with that is simple economics. A prepaid phone costs about
$10/month. In FL, I only pay $21/month for my home phone, including all
taxes. Makes getting rid of the landline hardly worth it.
