What I meant by dial up is a "data call via GPRS or EDGE access". In other
words, going online (internet) using the GPRS/EDGE enabled phones. This is
done by connecting the phone to a laptop using either usb, serial, BT or IR
interface.

Not most of the crowd use it that brings to my question. Statistical data by
the number of dial up attempts, time online, network usage, etc.

TIA

I'm sure T-Mobile would consider that proprietary information.
They don't want to tip off the competition as to how popular (or
unpopular) their GPRS/EDGE service is.

When I tell it to connect, it usually does on the first try. If I am
stationary, I seldom have a dropped call. Time online depends on where I am
and what I am doing. If I am at a hotel, I am usually online from the time I
get in in the evening to the time that I leave the next morning without any
problem. As for network usage, I use VPN to get into my corporate networks
as well as surf the internet and E-Mail. All work fine.
