T-mobile planning any new phones to add to the selection? The web and the
stores have what looks like in my opinion, the ugliest and oldest phones our
there. Their blackberry 7100 series and the sidekick II are the newest
items they have I believe, unless their web and the stores in my area
haven't updated their inventory. Just curious.

I agree about their phone selection however I did see on the website
that they have added a Samsung e335, which is basically the same as the
x475 one of the only differences is that the e335 has a camera and the
x475 does not. Other than that I have not heard of any new phones
coming out with T-Mobile.

They are going to get the Razr on July 11th. About time, they got a cool
phone.

No smartphones at all. They have never had a Windows or Palm , or Linux
Smartphone. They did have a couple of Nokia Symbian smartphones, but I
believe they don't carry those any more.

Yes, phone selection is not one of T-Mobile's strong points. Cingular has
much better phone selection.

Just one correction... they DID have a Palm Treo 600 until a couple of
months ago... I don't think they will get a Treo 650 though...

Cingular just has more buying and negotiation power because of their
size... IMHO

True, they did have the Treo 600, I forgot. As you say, not any more, and it
doesn't look like they are getting the 650.

I think they (TMO) don't offer any kind of smartphone now.

I would suggest that TMO users unhappy about this (poor phone selection,
lack of smartphones) not only complain about it here, but write to T-Mobile
and complain about it, as I have. If they get complaints from many customers
about poor phone selection, that we want smartphones, etc., perhaps they
will change in that area.

Perhaps it will snow in Miami in August, but that's doubtful as well.

Of course, any company wishes to please its customers, to keep current ones
as well as attracting new ones. If a large number of people calling asking
for a specific change, it is possible that there will be a move in said
direction.

However, if everyone took an attitude like the one you exhibit above
("Perhaps it will snow.....), no one would bother complaining about phone
selection to T-Mobile ("no chance of them changing anyhow"), and it won't
change.

There are no guarantees, but it certainly doesn't hurt to try.
