| I'm considering upgrading from a Nokia 6610 to the Motorola RAZR. I
have some reservations based on posts in this and other groups. Can
anyone recommend alternate phones with the following features:
tri (or quad) band
bluetooth
speakerphone
color screen
Thanks very much,
Adam

| The Razr v3 is a terrific phone. What are your reservations?

| 1) The phonebook doesn't seem as intuititve or user friendly as Nokia
or Ericsson
2) I keep reading posts about weak vibration
3) Phone seems very wide
4) I've read that the screen can be hard to read in sunlight
On the other hand, there have been so many positive reviews and posts.
What are your thoughts? Would you still like the phone if it wasn't so
damn cool looking?
Thanks a lot,
Adam

| The phonebook is better than in the past as I only use Moto phones. The one
time I tried a Nokia I was very unhappy with it (6160 as I recall). With
the addition of multiple character search it's very easy to use now. You CAN
show only primary contacts with the others "behind" it if you choose/
I keep the phone in my pocket and can feel the vibe with no problem.
Doesn't seem to be any better or worse than others I've used.
The width is the same as the old StarTAC which I actually prefer. As
mentioned, I carry the phone in my pocket so the "thinness" is more
important than the width to me.
I haven't seen any screen that's really easy to read in bright sunlight
(not to say there isn't one) but I just cup my hand over it and it's
readable.
While I like the "coolness" of the phone, I wouldn't put up with
shortcomings. I like this phone a LOT better than the v600 that I had
before. Also, the screens are highly scratch resistant as they use a mineral
crystal like on a good watch. The metal case is very durable too showing
only one small scratch after 10 months of daily use.
