Author phone with continuous (or repeating) alert beep?

( x-posting to alt.cellular.gsm and alt... voicestream)

Looking for a phone which, on receiving an e-mail
(or sms...) would beep the initial alert, but also,
if not ack'ed, repeat the beeping every minute
or so. (like, oh, a beeper....)

Any suggestions? All cheerfully accepted.

(must be usable in the US...)

Thanks muchly

I'm not 100% sure about other recent Motorola cell phones, but my E398 does
that. It'll also vibrate instead of ring every so often if in vibrate mode.
You can set your own notification tone.

I'm going to make a wild guess and say that other Triplets-based phones
(v300, v500, v600, etc etc) will do the same. Razr too, most likely.

I hate my Moto V188 with a passion, but it does this. At least it does it
for missed calls and voicemails - I don't currently use SMS, so I'm not sure
about SMS but I think the feature is available for SMS too.

The V188 is a T-Mobile USA phone. Other, less crappy Motorola handsets
probably have the feature too.

Motorola V180 does that.

V180 is gone, and was (as I understand) buggy. The V188 is the replacement,
and I have one, and it seems to fit the bill.

NEW V180's are not available but U can still get used ones and I don't
know where you get the idea that they were bugy! At my wifes company
they had an entire sales force of some 200 plus salesman using V180's
and had little to no problems with them whatsoever.

From people who've used them. :)

Might have just been a bad batch or two.

Not a popular phone mind you, but the Siemens CF62 beeps every minute
or so if you don't check a alert for SMS, text, or missed call. Keeps
it up until you check.

I'm presuming a bad batch, both my fiancee and I owned one each for over
a year and had no problems at all.
