Expanded 850 Mhz coverage on T-Mobile
|
|
|
| Just wanted to point out to anyone that hadn't noticed that T-Mobile now
has a lot of 850 Mhz coverage in the USA through roaming agreements.
(This may be old news to some, but I just ran across it the other day
when checking http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/?class=coverage
coverage map)
Here's a quote from the following webpage;
http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/ex...rage&WT.mc_t=DM
"As part of T-Mobile’s ongoing effort to provide our customers with more
coverage, we want to let you know that we have expanded our national
coverage in square miles by over 40% in 2005, primarily by adding 850MHz
roaming coverage."
You can click the link on the website to see if there's any new coverage
areas in your area. There's also a link to show what phones have the 850
available.

| I've been noticing that. Now the only thing we need is a Nokia Quad band
world phone.

The Nokia 6270 is such a beast, and it's been on the market for a month or
two now. I don't believe any US carrier has picked it up, so you'd have
to buy it at full retail from a dealer or eBay seller.
