correct SMTP for T-Mobile e-mail ?
|

| I use the data only service with T-Mobile on my laptop.
In the past I used as the outgoing SMTP
myemail.t-mobile.com
is this still correct SMTP for outgoing?
(This worked up until last Fall, but in December, and also just today it
failed)
I get error message saying authentication needed--and I know I have
everything properly set to allow authentication.
I use Eudora when connecting on my Thinkpad laptop to T-Mobile (via a
GC-83 Sony Ericsson PCMCIA card), with WinXP
Thanks

Yes, that's correct. However, you need more than that to make sure
that your e-mail service is working. You need the proper username and
password. Your username is based on your phone number, although the
exact name depends on how many e-mail accounts you have set up.
IOW, if you only have one, it will be 5555555555:1. The p/w will be
your POP mail password, not your My T-mobile password.
HTH,
Cyrus
