IPAQ 3850 & Transplant GPS Jacket problems....

| Can anyone help here. Just about to throw my old venerable 3850 out the
window with Transplant GPS Sleeve I bought today (ebay... *sigh*).
Many moons ago, I bought my nice shiny 3850 and after months of happiness I
upgraded it to Windows PPC 2003, as it came with 2002 as standard. I was
happy, ok it didnt have bluetooth as standard built in, but that was of
little concern until today.
On initial (and all day long) inspection, the Transplant GPS will only work
on COM5, which is reserved for Bluetooth. Now I cant see anyway to change
either the GPS settings or the IPAQ settings, so COM5 is only used for one,
as everytime I load Crux_View software to test the GPS sleeve, a bluetooth
error comes up.
After much hair pulling and heart rending, I kinda figured out that phaps
I'd need to go back to PP2002, as this doesnt come with Bluetooth so I guess
COM5 will be free.. Does anyone know if there is a way around this before I
have to search for a replacement 2002 disc (lost it a year or so ago, I
think when moving house).

You might check and see if you can upgrade it to mobile 5 and see if it will
work.
