Has anybody seen subject?

I guess I need to explain that the horn antenna is intended used as
re-radiating the gps signal

I have heard of people using the external antenna for the TomTom GO
300s, but I have never heard of it referred to as a horn antenna... are
we talking about the same thing?

A lot of people have very think windshields and they are finding that
the distance to the destination is skewed by the power of the GPS
signal. The antenna helps the 300 get a stronger read...

One needs to maintain the right-handed circular polarization of the
GPS signals.

It's been 40 years since I took the relevant EE courses, which I never
used. Could you point me to an explanation. thanks.

What would you achieve with a horn antenna on a GPS receiver???
A horn antenna has a narrow angle which would limit the view of satellites
to 1, maybe 2, making it impossible for the GPS to get a fix.

Horns would be appropriate at the satellite end, wouldn't they?

What is the TX setup on those things?

The re-radiated GPS signal should distrubet the signal through narrow
corridor (cellar like) so wide angle isn't necessary

I think he's talking about this. If he's not, I'd like to know about
it.

I've talked to fairly knowledgable photography wizards who couldn't
explain circular polarization either. I presume the fundamentals are
the same (rf & optics)...any good explainers out there?
