GPS - 2610 maps update ?

2610 maps update ?

Last year I downloaded all maps to a 2gb card in my 2610 from City Navigator
v6.

I am going to upgrade to V7 City Navigator. Should I erase all the maps from
the compact flash card and download from v7 to the card ? Is that "updating"
the maps & info on the card ?

Please forgive my ignorance of this subject.

There is no need to so this. Every time you download a subset of maps
(possibly from more than one map product) it overwrites whatever is
already on the card.
