I can confirm by myself that "SiRF Start III" is the architecture and there
are some instances of it, like:

- GSC3e/LP
- GSC3LT
- GSC3LTi

Another architecture is named "SiRF Instant" and an example of instance is:

- GSCi-5000

Sometimes the differences in chip models are related to power
consumption and temperature range, with the "better" ones being much
more expensive, for military use.

Sirf III is amazingly good. Best receiver i've used so far had that
chip. It gets signal indoors when it is cloudly outside.

If you are in a wooden house, but mine has a lot op steel and concrete,
so sitting a the window with my Garmin 60CSx is still necessary.
When traveling in a train it is a complete other story. Even on the
lower store I have almost full signal :-)

In terms of sensitivity? or accuracy? and if accuracy, how was
the accuracy determined?

Mainly in terms of speed, and sensitivity. I haven't fully tested the
accuracy, but was impressed with the above.
