GPS - Mio C310x and Acticesync

I cannot get miosync to connect via usb. I am running winxp, using
activesync 4.2, I have also tried versions 4.1, and the beta 4.5. It will
not connect. It will connect using the mio transfer and a usb. Not sure
where to go. I have looked all over the web and most people are getting
this to work. I have also checked Firewall, opened ports, disabled
antivirus. Any help would be appreciated.
