Tom Tom in UK - Own a Go would like a Rider
|

| Hi from the UK
I bought a TT GO soon after they came out.
As I ride a 500cc motor scooter AND drive a car I would prefer to own
a TT RIDER.
I cannot justify the expense of two units.
Is there an u-grade path or is my best choice to sell the GO on Ebay
and buy a rider?
Advice appreciated.

| Do what everyone else does....If it rains put a plastic bag over it! Use a
normal 3,5mm headphone for sound. Should save a few quid!!!!

| I didn't think that the TT GO had a working sound outlet on the case.
On the one in my hand there's a power in socket and a mini-USB socket
I have never managed to work our what the three sockets underneath the
unit are for. Two, I believe are for connecting to an external
windscreen/roof aerial, the other... I have no idea
Any thoughts?

Your best hope is to sell the GO although the prices are plummeting with the
arrival of the GO x10 range. I've got the RIDER on my Pan European and it
works very well although the BT headset is a PITA, so much so that I rarely
bother with it, hopefully I will be able to sort out a connection via the
intercom set-up.

| Sorry, my mistake re the audio out. I use the PDA version, mate of mine has
got audio out on his GO! I have just spoken to him about it and he put it in
himself. Very simple wiring job cost less than £2 for the socket from
Maplin.
