I just bought a Garmin Streetpilot to replace my Belkin which was
recently stolen. I like the unit and settled on this one after trying
and returning one from Lowrance (which seemed like a great unit for the
first 10 mins - after which it froze).

My raves on the c330:

1. Acquires signal fast enough
2. Good battery life
3. Great display
4. Easy to use interface

My rants:

1. The software seems to have problems. I wanted to get to San Diego
Zoo from Huntington Beach. The GPS made me get on the 5 get off it
after about 40 miles and get back on it again. I didnt know why it made
me do this. It seemed stupid. On at least one occasion the GPS asked me
to keep left when I should have been in the right lane.

2. The GPS does not show POI's while you drive like other GPS' do. I
would really like to see icons for Gas stations, restaurants,
hospitals, etc. on the map while driving, but this unit fails to
display them. Of course, I could also look for POI's and the GPS
provides an exhaustive list, but they are not shown 'on' the map. Is
there a way to turn on display of POI's??

More as I continue to use the unit
