Newbie to group needs help picking a GPS receiver

I need a USB GPS receiver that can record data to PC (coordinates,
speed and possibly heading) continuously for automobile testing. I will
be using it in conjunction with an analog to digital data acquisition
system which records accelerations, steering and other vehicle
parameters.

Is something like the DeLorme GPS LT 20 capable of recording and
storing data in an accessible format such as text or Excel?
