Due a fire in my home i lost al my Garmin accesiores (box, manuals ..ect)
(lost much of my things :-(

My Garmin StreetPilot 2610 was in my car. The only thing i still have is the
unit ID. (the Garmin wasn't registered yet)
I would like to order City Navigator 9 - Europe, only i need my serial
number to order the software at Garmin.

Is there a way to recover my serial number with the use of my SP2610
internal ID?

Is there another way to get a key and order or use the key on my SP2610?

Who could help me please

The serial number is on a label on the bottom of the unit

The unit ID can be obtained from the unit via menu/info/system info

Install Mapsource and the USB drivers, hook the unit up, and tell
Mapsource to recover the codes.

Run Mapsource
Select "Utilities" from the menus
Select "Unlock maps" from the menus
Click "next"
Select "Retrieve and reinstall all my Garmin Unlock Codes"
Click "next"
Select "Retrieve my unlock codes from the Garmin server"
Click "next"
Click "next"
Enter your customer ID code or click "Lookup my code"
Click "next"

Should sort you out :-}

Yes, contact Garmin. They verify some things and then things will be
arranged.

Garmin is very helpful - unless it's stolen equipment then you are SOL

I used Garmin last year to retreive some lost install codes - got everything
I needed in less than 5 minutes. Took me longer to find my CD's. I'd buy
Garmin again based on their service.

Or have they changed to the Bell tech support system of "put you on hold for
4 hours then hang up on you when you get a person?"
