TOPO for old Vista
|
|
|
| I have an old eTrex Vista purchased 2003, could anyone tell me if it can
take topo mapping in particular TOPO maps for Great Britain.
I had a look on the Garmin UK web site and topo maps are included in the
products that are available for the eTrex Vista but wasn't sure if thy where
meant for a one as old as 2033 or before?
Thanks,

I have used Topo GB V2 on a Vista C with no problems. I think that it should
work reasonably on a Vista; you may have trouble distinguishing between
contours, streams and paths without colour. There are 752 tiles to cover GB,
totalling 1598.4 MB (without autorouting). Thus the individual tiles are
quite small and you can load maps to cover a day's walking in a small amount
of memory.

>Mmmm! Thanks never thought about "distinguishing between
contours, streams and paths without colour".
