| Any comments on these three units? The Mio is, I think, the 520 - the
one with text-to-speech etc.
The TomTom gets rave reviews but I'm a bit put off by multiple reports
of their disdainful attitude to legal purchasers, the inability to
transfer the software from one computer to another (I use two laptops,
one for home and an ultraportable for travelling), and the ridiculous
cost of adding maps for other countries and regions.
The Mio looks great, but I have no idea what their customer support is
like or the prices for add-on maps
The Navman has one feature I like - the NavPix (yes I would use it), but
once again, the silly registration/authorization procedures, and the
cost of add-on maps is a major turn-off.
Does anyone have any useful comments as to which of the above I should
go for, or any other alternatives?
Cost of the base unit is not the issue, but the cost of SD cards with
add-on maps IS, as I do a lot of travelling overseas.
Features such as bluetooth, music-playing, etc are useless to me - I'd
never use them, so remove those from the comparisons.
All comments and suggestions much appreciated. Thanks team :)
