I have been using ACER PDA with TomTom Navigator 5 (including West
Europe maps) software on it. But a few weeks ago, The PDA was broken
and it can not be used anymore. Thus, I decided to buy a new car
navigation system. I would like to buy TomTom One XL regional from
Germany. That one has pre-installed maps of Germany, Austria and
Switzerland.
Can I use the maps (excluding maps of Germany, Austria and
Switzerland) of my TomTom Navigator 5 package which are already
installed to SD card which I used in my broken PDA with TomTom One XL
regional that I would like to buy? Or any other advice?

Regards.

Update to saga.

With a bit of research on goggle I got it working.

So all was well for a bit.

I updated the application to the latest version via TT home as it
recommended and the original problem I had with the other unit was back.

A white cross in a red circle after the power-up progress bar reached
the right hand side.

I tried to restore the back up I made (in TT Home) before I did any
update.

That didn't work.

But I had copied the entire TT 720 memory (G: Drive) to a folder on my
PC using Windows Explorer.

So I copied ALL the original files to the 720 and it now works again.

So there is an issue with the latest application release with the two
units I have just had.

This means I cant update my unit at all.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks
