Exporting Google route to handheld GPS

| I've been searhching but don't see how to do this. I have been given
some Google routes--that is, google maps showing a route from one
point to another. I want to somehow export this and load it onto a
handheld (actually bike mounted GPS) so that I can follow the route.
The GPS is a Delorme PN-20 but I think once I get the Google data in a
garmin-like standard format I can get it on the PN-20. Do I somehow
save the Google route as KML and then conver to GPX? Or am I totally
off base here?
Thanks!

Try it, GpsBabel http://www.gpsbabel.org/ will do the conversion for
you. You might also want to get GpsBabelGUI if you prefer working with a
UI rather than the command line.

There's a utility called "Tyre" from http://www.tyre.tk/ that works with
TT, might work with others
