I have and older street pilot(amber screen) i have garmins roads and
recreation on it. I live in the backwoods part of oregon and this has
served me very well. My question is there a new gps unit that will
show all the details of R&R when it is loaded on it. I have a newer
330 gps that will take a san disk of info but it will not show all the

Only thing close will be the Topo series. Even so, I still like R&R as
there are many things and sites it has where Topo falls short. Too bad they
discontinued it.

I am not sure what you mean by "will not show all the info". I have
a few 2610's and they work with R&R. I think they show all the info
that there is to show. R&R is old and will not have all the info on
the newer map data disks. I use R&R and City Navigator maps on the
2610's. You have to shut off the CN maps to see the R&R maps. I also
have a GPS Map 76 CSx with Metro Guide and it works fine also. Shows
different data than CN in rural areas but that's what I want. It has
Metrowizz for routing with MG.

It sounds like you want it for vehicle use. The old 2610's are still
available from some dealers. If you want one that works on batteries
for in and out of the vehicle I think you would like the 76.

I understand from you that the new unit shows less than the old one,
both with the same mapping product (R&R) loaded. Sounds like you may
want to dig in the menues and see if there is a "detail level"
setting?
